Documentation centreDo pictures from riders from the heroic era, posters of the first track meetings still exist? How did the jerseys of the first sports sponsors in cycling look like? How do you get a copy of the volumes of cycling magazines? What does cycling mean for the social, sports, political and economic life? What about the high-tech of the newest time trial bikes…? The Cycling museum has an enormous collection of everything of and around the world of cycling: in the first place off course many bicycles, but also pictures, films, newspapers, cycling magazines, documents, posters, books, jerseys, caps, bidons, trophies, ..etc. The collection is big, perhaps the biggest one of its kind, but obviously never ending… Collectors, local historians, treasure hunters in the attic or sympathizers can help the Cycling museum quite a bit. Do you still have the authentic bike on which Briek Schotte won the Tour in 1948? Did you inherit the palms of victory from your late grandfather cycling champion? Did you, while cleaning the attic, find a jersey of Rik Van Steenbergen or a collection cycling pictures from your childhood and don’t you know what to do with it? If you come to us with such material, documents or gadgets, the Cycling museum will welcome you with open arms!
